Wine Ring - Itinerary of the Giro d'Italia 2021

On May 27, 2021, the Oltrepò Pavese area was the backdrop to an event that involved the whole country: the Giro d'Italia.

To relive the excitement of that day given by the competition, but also by the spectacular scenery offered, we decided to propose an itinerary that retraces the final stretch of the 18th stage, from Zenevredo to Stradella along the panoramic roads of Oltrepò.

This itinerary in its entirety is dedicated to all those who love cycling, both competitive and non-competitive. While for those who dedicate themselves to walks and love being outdoors, surrounded by nature, we recommend that you only walk part of it.
During the journey you will find yourself immersed in the green hills of the Val Versa and Valle Scuropasso. You will cross some villages and you will have the opportunity to visit them including Castana, one of the medieval villages in the area, Cigognola and many others such as Montescano and Canneto Pavese, each of which with its beauties to offer.
