"... and he flies like a madman to occupy spaces of a non-existent totality", so Flavio Caroli in 1982, sensing that the "power" in Asdrubali's work depends on the tension generated by the void. But the result is not the representation of emptiness (which does not exist in itself) but rather the "fullness" that is space, seen as the power of a contradicted image, which blends together what is given and what is denied.
Invited to the Venice Biennale in 1988, the Sidney Biennale, the Federicianum Museum in Kassel, the Institute Mathildenhohle in Darmstad and many other prestigious exhibitions, Asdrubali affirms his strongly independent language that distinguishes him on the international art scene.
