Italo Antico, Cagliari 1934 …

Italo Antico's work has reached its own precise stature, which differentiates it from that of many artists for whom sculpture is still a "monument" or "ornament", trophy or trinket; to approach, instead, a different and more essential view: that of the three-dimensional construction that has become a process, a spatial director, a peremptory indication of a way forward.

Italo Antico has participated in numerous exhibitions, including personal ones at the Cadario galleries in Milan presented by Gillo Dorfles, Contour in Brussels, in Genoa at the Arteverso gallery presented by Corrado Maltese, Duchamp gallery in Cagliari, at the Mantra in Turin presented by Aldo Passoni. He has also exhibited in Florence, Bologna, Rome, Basel, Paris, Bilbao, Padua, Vienna Rockenhausen, Passau, Asbach, Gent. Other personal exhibitions of him at the Suzzara Museum presented by Paolo Fossati, at the Museion in Bolzano presented by Gillo Dorfles, at Spaziotemporaneo presented by Alberto Veca, EXMA' in Cagliari in 2005, MAN in Nuoro in 2013.
