Il Nome è nel vello (The name is in the fleece), 1986, is the title of the work by Omar Galliani (Montecchio Emilia - 1954).

The author represents the image of an angel that twists on itself by wrapping itself in a sort of mantle or "fleece" recalling the ancient mythology of the golden fleece as a metaphor for salvation.
Born between the Po and the Emilian Apennines, his work traveled between West and East exhibiting in the most important museums, in both public and private institutions. The 80s are the years of his highest success. The participation in various editions of the Biennials of Venice, Paris, Sao Paulo in Brazil, Tokyo, Prague, Beijing, Moscow, highlighted the international belonging of his work to those research instances of the 1980s that converged in the return to painting and drawing which, starting from a figurative field, will then arrive at symbolic and conceptual outcomes.
