Antonio levolella (Benevento 1952)
After completeing his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, he moved to Milan in the seventies and, subsequently, to Padua where he lives and works.
The artist has a rich curriculum of exhibitions in Italy and abroad; in 1988 he was invited to the Venice Biennale curated by Giovanni Carandente and Andrea Del Guercio.
He works above all on large works, bringing sculpture back to materiality and mythical and anthropological iconography.
This work has as its title:
"Etruria" 1997
(Iron and colored concrete cm. 250 x 650 x 100)
The work, granted on loan by the Pietro and Alberto Rossini Foundation of Briosco, represents a sort of mythical archaeological find, typical of his philosophy, full of history, but facing a shifting of form in space.
